About Elias Faouz
Independent Architect with more than 20 years of experience.
Elias Faouz is a Lebanese architect, artist, and visual thinker, and the founder of The Fox and the Box, an architectural atelier driven by curiosity, precision, and creative intelligence. Based in Lebanon, Elias is a member of the Architecture Office of the Order of Architects and Engineers in Beirut and operates at the intersection of architecture, art, and spatial storytelling.
At the core of his practice lies the belief that design is never singular—it is holistic, experiential, and deeply human. Architecture, for Elias, is not only about building forms, but about shaping atmospheres, emotions, and narratives. This philosophy is reflected in a multidisciplinary body of work that spans architecture, interior design, scenography, and graphic consultancy.
Parallel to his architectural practice, Elias cultivates his artistic voice through painting and photography, disciplines that sharpen his sensitivity to light, composition, and detail. These artistic explorations inform his architectural language, allowing each project to transcend function and become a carefully crafted experience.
The Fox and the Box embodies this duality: intuition and structure, creativity and control, freedom and rigor. Through a refined design process and a strong contextual awareness, the atelier delivers bespoke projects that respond intelligently to their environment while remaining timeless, expressive, and client-focused. Every project is approached as a dialogue between space and user, concept and execution, vision and reality—resulting in architecture that is both meaningful and enduring.
